The Future of my Twitter/X

I have a secret that I won’t tell anyone on Twitter just yet: (Warning: this is very long! ⚠️🚨)
For years, Twitter was my go-to platform for sharing news and updates on my life and video content. However, since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform in late 2022, it has increasingly gotten more chaotic, toxic, and filled with disinformation and right-wing conservative political bias. I left in November 2022, but ultimately returned sometime in August 2023 as the platform showed signs of getting better. Until the middle of 2024.
The cracks started showing when unnecessary and downright bad changes were made to the platform, like the changes of the block button and suppressing left-wing liberal voices and supporters of Kamala Harris. (Yes, Elon Musk wants the world to know that his conservative-filled mindless nonsense loves Donald Trump.)
The platform has recently taken a toll on my mental health as hate found its way onto my feed and even my own posts. I knew I had to get out of that toxic cesspool ASAP. And oh boy, I found the best platforms to move to: Threads and Bluesky. I’ve met some amazing people on both and mostly everyone here is nice and friendly, and most importantly, this is a safe zone from any toxicity, chaos, and disinformation. Perfect!
I want to bring here the amazing news. Starting next week, I’m going to begin distancing myself from Twitter (now X, but who cares LOL), then by the end of the month, I will stop posting. Sometime next month, my account will be privated (not deleted, as I don’t want anyone sniping my handle). I can’t wait for this to happen, and I should expect my mental health to get better almost immediately after uninstalling that hell of an app.
The future looks bright everyone! Sorry that this post is long, but thanks for reading nevertheless.
P.S. Elon Musk is the worst person ever. Glad his platform X is dying LOL 😂
