Over the past weekend, I revisited my childhood game, Forza Horizon 1
It's been a blast replaying through the amazing campaign, listening to the phenomenal soundtrack, driving all kinds of cars and racing in them, and driving through the beautiful scenery of Colorado, USA.
It has been fun driving through locations like Red Rock, Clear Springs, Carson, Beaumont, Bunker, Kettle Hills, Finley Dam, and others. I personally like that race events have certain restrictions on what cars are eligible, encouraging you to drive all kinds of cars. That's unlike the newer games, where you can literally complete all the races in your starter car if you wanted to.
Also, the progression is very good, as you start in a slow VW Corrado and work your way to faster and better cars as you race and earn credits. In the newer games, you can literally get a super fast Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, or whatever just by getting lucky on wheelspins.
This game is a lot of fun, so if you have a Xbox console, I recommend you try it out. You'll have to get a physical copy though!
